Welcome to the Central FL Communicators Field Day Information Page

Field Day is ham radio’s open house. Every June, more than 31,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio’s science, skill and service to our communities and our nation.

It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio. Come join us to participate in the event as an operator or just visit us and check out the Central FL Communicators testing their communications skills.

Anyone can come and visit our Field Day location!

Come learn about Ham Radio, Emergency Communications, Hurricane Preparedness and get an opportunity to operate a radio with one of our radio operators.

Public Access/Visitation

Saturday 6/27 from 2pm to 9pm

Sunday 6/28 from 9am to 4pm.

Testing Available Throughout the Day

Participate

Do you want to participate as a radio operator? Well come on down, you are welcome to utilize one of our key stations or bring/setup your own to operate. We will have both commercial and emergency power available for your station.

You are welcome to join us for the day or you may camp overnight at our location. Meals are being provide to those that fully register as a radio operator participant.

Setup is 6/27 Saturday at 9am, Field Day Starts at 2pm through 6/28 Sunday 4pm.

Breakdown/Cleanup starts at 4pm Sunday 6/28.
